The Clowns |
Rainbow |
Rainbow always brings sunshine and happiness, but no pot of gold! |
PROFILE I was born in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney in 1947. I was a shy, introverted and insecure child - although you'd never guess that now that I've discovered the real me lurking underneath! I have one brother whom I adore. As I grew older I found my strengths in the oral and written language so learned to express myself by learning as many new words as I could - and I'm still doing it! There is magic in language. I have worked for myself for the past 40 years and now work as a medical typist which I love. I thrive on learning new skills and challenging myself. I see the glass as half full and like to see the good in people and I am so grateful for the many natural gifts I have been blessed with. As Rainbow I can reach out and touch so many more people and be touched by them. I treasure each day as my last and live my life to the fullest extent that I can. I have two children and two beautiful grandchildren (the twins Aliana and Flynn are now 6 weeks old). I have the most glorious husband Ken who is my rock and soulmate. I saw an article for Coastal Caring Clowns Inc. in a magazine and it piqued my interest so I joined. What a great bunch of fun-loving people! I haven't done a great deal of clowning yet but enjoy myself thoroughly and hope when I retire that I will have lots more time to devote to this hilarious calling. As an avid reader (of anything) I volunteered to be the librarian as it gave me access to all the books any time I wanted. I think what I get most from clowning is the opportunity to let the "little girl" out and just be free and the sense of camaraderie that is so much a part of CCC. |
