I left school early, had a stint in the Army and settled down with my sweetheart Gail, who convinced me to go back to evening college. I became an Architectural Draftsman for many years. I suppose some of the projects I’ve been involved in might be interesting to Clowns. For about four years I was an Adviser to the NSW Minister for Local Government. Gail and I owned also a country pub for a couple of years, which was interesting. I lost Gail just after our 51st wedding anniversary. My four children, eleven grandkids and three great-grandkids keep me happy. My youngest daughter “took me in” and I’m now back firing on all cylinders, sharing her home with three teenagers, two large dogs, and a guinea pig! I’ve spent a fair amount of time on and off amateur stage, an experience of interest to clowning. I also worked for Team Slovakia for the Olympics, and Team Ukraine for the Paralympics. I took my grandson to the Caloundra Air Museum one day and there they were - a bunch of clowns, in their mismatched pajamas, silly shoes, funny hats, and hair and makeup and that was it! I was looking for a new challenge, and so ‘BUBBLES’ was created. Having been infected by a general aura of silliness within the group, I’m hooked; it’s taken me a while, I’m now 80, and I’m a Clown”!
